This is one of my favorite summertime treats. It’s an ice cream made from bananas! Perfectly healthy and no animals were harmed, yay 🙂
To make this you need some preferably really ripe bananas with brown spots all over them. This will give it a good sweetness and you won’t need to add anything to make it sweeter.
You’re going to peel them and cut them up into 1 inch slices.
Separate the slices from each other so the don’t stay stuck together and freeze them in a covered container.
When they are frozen, add them to a blender and blend them starting on low and speeding up the blender gradually. You will need to stop the blender and move them around a few times. Make sure you don’t turn it on with your spoon in there like I did one time!
For this one, I also added frozen mango and some Vitamineral Greens (a powdered green superfood blend for energy and a powerhouse of nutrients)
You can make this with any fruits you like; I’ve used raspberry, strawberry, blueberry and cantaloupe. Always use a banana base because it makes it super creamy.
For this big bowl I used 2 frozen bananas and about a cup of frozen mango chunks with 1 1/2 teaspoons of greens.
Topped with frozen raspberries (you can use fresh, but that’s what I had), chia seeds and slivered almonds.
Seriously this is soooo good! And you will feel great and energized after you eat it.
I ate the whole thing by myself but you could share it if you’re not that hungry.
