Cramps gone with a kitchen spice!

Until a couple of months ago, I still had the little bottle of Marjoram oil I got a couple of years ago when I got my first oil kit from doTERRA. I didn’t think I had much of a use for it.

It is good for sleep but I usually have no problems with that. I love to sleep and I’m really good at it.

All my womanly life, I’ve had pretty terrible cramps during my period. Like debilitating sometimes, where I think I’m going to pass out. I’ve tried so many different things for it: playing around with different diets and elimination diets, herbs, homeopathy, acupuncture, massage, etc.

I have never had consistent success with any of them. I think they did help to some extent but I still would have some pretty bad pain.

I read that Marjoram oil was good for cramps, especially for a period that feels stuck, so I thought I’d try it.

I wanted to give it a few months before I wrote about it, to make sure it wasn’t a fluke.

I am happy to say that for 3 months now, my cramps are gone! Just a feeling of heaviness, but not pain. I feel like this is what normal periods feels like. HALLELUJAH.

Ok, so here’s what I do: dilute a little bit and rub it on lower belly and lower back, as well as on the front of the ankle, in the arch of the foot and underneath.

I do that several times a day, right when I start to get my period.

I also drink Women’s Moon Cycle Tea by Yogi Teas a few times a day, as needed. I have one a day a few days before my period starts too.

These two together have made a HUGE difference in my functionality during my cycle. I’m able to move and work without feeling like I got the wind knocked out of me.

Here are some other amazing (grace) things that Marjoram is good for:

Calming the nervous system

Sleep

Maintaining healthy blood pressure

Muscle aches (use before and after workout)

Cramps (anywhere)

Relieving a stuck period

Putting menopause off until a later date (allegedly)

Cooking (1 drop = about 2 tsp dried herb)

Emotionally:

Marjoram helps with trust.

It is especially good for people with trust issues that have trouble developing and keeping meaningful relationships.

It helps to get perspective on patterns of aloofness in order to keep a distance from others as a defense mechanism.

It helps to move past fear of rejection and allows openness so true bonds can be formed in friendships and romantic relationships.

It can be used: topically – diluted in the area needed plus reflex points, diffused and in cooking.

Use with caution while pregnant.
